The Tax Group at Fletcher Tilton PC is an integral part of the firm’s legal practice and comprises individuals with advanced degrees in taxation, business, and accounting. Representative matters:
- Developed S corporation liquidation plan in conjunction with execution of estate plan to reduce estate’s taxable income by over $20 million;
- Successfully abated six-figure Affordable Care Act shared-responsibility penalty on an employer that had ceased operations;
- Negotiated significantly reduced responsible person assessment for principals of failed restaurant franchise;
- Obtained large Massachusetts estate tax refund by enforcing terms of shareholder cross-purchase agreement;
- Advised client on optimal tax structure in connection with $80 million stock acquisition.
